Dr Johannes Hofferberth

Chiropractor, Senior Associate

Dr Hofferberth was born and raised in Perth and graduated from Murdoch University in Western Australia. Here he completed his bachelor of Chiropractic, bachelor of Science in Chiropractic and bachelor of Sport Science degrees. Johannes utilises over five different recognised chiropractic techniques for his patients. This is done so you can receive the best possible care for your own unique presentation. A thorough case history, working diagnosis and a comprehensive treatment plan is implemented for each case. Sport and exercise has played a large part in Johannes’ life and still does today. He appreciates the importance of having your body functioning 110 percent and thrives on making this possible for his patients. Recently Dr Hofferberth had the honour of giving chiropractic treatment to members of the Australian men’s hockey team before competing in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. In addition to his Chiropractic techniques, Johannes combines his treatment with rehabilitation and physiological therapies such as, Active Release Technique, soft tissue stretching/trigger point therapy and instrumented assisted soft tissue therapy (Graston). Once again, these techniques will be utilised on a needs basis for each patient. TMJ (jaw) release techniques are something Dr Hofferberth frequently uses in care of headaches and related neck pain. In practice Dr Hofferberth finds that jaw clenching due to stress is a major problem for correct TMJ function. Muscle release techniques within the TMJ and surrounding muscle configuration (musculature) is frequently important to giving the patient relief. Dr Hofferberth also has a keen interest and passion for gastrointestinal health. Over the years, Johannes has witnessed the impact and effect that poor gut health has on his patients well being. Through corrective supplementation and dietary advice, he has found this component of chiropractic care to be of great importance.
